February 15, 20011. RESOLVED:
That the Faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside objects in the strongest terms to the governor’s budget repair proposal, the divisive manner in which the rationale for this proposal has been presented, and the undemocratic manner in which it is being rushed through the legislative process.

At the Capitol: Government for Sale?
This photo was sent from the State Capitol Building by our colleague Nat Godley (UW-Parkside Professor of History). Madison police reported the largest crowds since the Vietnam era (about 13,000).
13,000 was a low estimate for Tuesday's rally. Madison police estimated Wednesday's at 20K or more - and the driver of the shuttle bus I took in said they were twice as busy as Tuesday.
